IT’S ALL A MATTER OF PERSPECTIVE “When the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, “It is a ghost’ And they cried out for fear. But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, ‘Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid.’ And Peter answered Him and said, Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.’ So He said, ‘Come.’ And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus. But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, ‘Lord, save me!’ and immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, ‘O you of little faith, why did you doubt?’” MATTHEW 14:26-31 Our view of Jesus Christ will determine whether we sink or swim in this life. Seeing Him vaguely or sporadically will make problems seem insurmountable, yet how much greater is He than our problems! If He could control the wind and waves, feed the multitude with a few loaves and fishes, He certainly could handle the daily problems that would pop up in our lives. Truly, your view of Jesus will determine whether you experience victory or defeat. A penny can block out the sun if you hold it close t your eye. It’s all a matter of perspective. A problem held too close and tightly can make it seem as though the Lord is no where around. What’s your perspective? “Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass,” Psalm 37:5 Written by: Bill Stonebraker, Senior Pastor Calvary Chapel of Honolulu Honolulu, Hawaii Pastor Gene Burroughs wanted to share some of these devotions with you that are taken from Daily Devotions with Calvary Chapel Pastors PASTOR GENE’S WIFE DAWN HAS IN-OPERABLE LIVER CANCER SHE STARTS CHEMOTHERAPY ON DEC. 10TH!
